PBA-AMF can be activated by H2O2 to release Amonafide (AMF) (HY-10982) . PBA-AMF selectively inhibited the proliferation of breast cancer cells, while sparing non-cancerous cells. PBA-AMF inhibits tumor proliferation by inhibiting DNA synthesis, reducing ATP levels, inducing apoptosis, and arresting the cell cycle.
