Laboratory products may require special transportation

Standard shipping charge
A standard flat shipping charge of $80 USD per eligible order applies to eligible orders shipped to destinations enabled in Gentaur's standard Merchant Center shipping service.
The charge is applied once per order rather than once per individual product.
- One standard eligible shipment for the order.
- Standard product packaging.
- Carrier collection and transportation.
- Delivery to the confirmed shipping address.
- Tracking information when offered by the selected carrier.
When Gentaur divides an order into multiple shipments for operational reasons, the standard fee will not automatically be charged again unless an additional charge was communicated and accepted beforehand.
Orders requiring a separate quotation
- Shipments requiring dry ice or non-standard cold-chain packaging.
- Hazardous or regulated products requiring a specialist carrier.
- Oversized, unusually heavy or exceptionally packaged products.
- Customer-requested express, priority or dedicated delivery.
- Destinations not supported by the standard online shipping service.
- Orders requiring special permits, legalization or certification services.
These shipments are not processed as ordinary $80 USD online shipments. Gentaur will provide the applicable transport terms before accepting the order.
Indicative product lead times
Lead time is the period required to obtain, manufacture, assemble or prepare a product before it is dispatched to the carrier.
Products available in stock
1–3 business days
Normally prepared within 1–3 business days after payment, delivery information and order details have been confirmed.
Regular non-stock products
Usually 1–2 weeks
Products obtained from a supplier may require additional time before they are available for dispatch.
Custom recombinant proteins
Approximately 4–8 weeks
Production time depends on the requested sequence, expression system, quantity, purity and other specifications.
Custom polyclonal antibodies
Approximately 12–14 weeks
The schedule may vary according to antigen preparation, immunization, collection, purification and testing requirements.
Custom monoclonal antibodies
Approximately 15–17 weeks
Production time depends on the selected service, project requirements and validation steps.
Made-to-order recombinant antibodies
Approximately 6–8 weeks
The applicable production schedule will be confirmed with the order or quotation.
ELISA kits assembled on order
Approximately 2–4 weeks
Assembly, preparation and quality-control time may vary depending on the requested kit.
These preparation lead times are separate from carrier transit. A more specific availability date shown on the product page, quotation or order confirmation takes priority. The 2–6 business-day standard delivery estimate applies only to eligible in-stock products.
Standard delivery schedule
These times match Gentaur's standard Google Merchant Center shipping configuration for eligible in-stock products.
Order cutoff
5:00 PM
The cutoff uses Central European Time (Brussels). Orders placed after 5:00 PM, on weekends or on applicable public holidays begin processing on the next business day.
Handling time
1–3 business days
Eligible in-stock orders are prepared Monday through Friday. Handling time runs from the applicable order cutoff until the shipment is ready to be handed to the carrier.
Carrier transit
1–3 business days
Standard shipments move Monday through Friday. Transit begins after the order is handed to the carrier and may be adjusted for public holidays or carrier disruptions.
Estimated total delivery
2–6 business days
This estimate combines 1–3 business days of handling with 1–3 business days of carrier transit. It applies to eligible in-stock products and begins from the applicable order cutoff.
Shipment tracking
Tracking information is provided by email when supported by the selected carrier. Tracking may require several hours to become active after the shipping label is created.
How orders are prepared and shipped
Gentaur follows these general steps before delivery.
Order verification
Gentaur verifies the products, quantities, payment status, delivery address and applicable shipping restrictions.
Availability confirmation
Stock availability or the applicable supplier, manufacturing or assembly lead time is confirmed.
Product preparation
Products are packaged according to their safety, stability, regulatory and temperature requirements.
Carrier dispatch
The shipment is transferred to the selected carrier. Tracking information is sent when available.
Customer delivery
The carrier delivers the shipment to the address confirmed in the order or quotation.
Dry-ice and cold-chain shipments
Certain products must be transported refrigerated, frozen or with dry ice to preserve their integrity.
When a temperature-controlled product cannot be shipped under the standard $80 USD online service, Gentaur will provide a separate quotation before accepting the order. No undisclosed shipping surcharge is added after acceptance.
Cold-chain delivery may not be available to every destination because of transit time, carrier limitations or local regulations.
Receiving temperature-sensitive products
The customer must arrange for an authorized person to receive the shipment and immediately transfer the products to the storage conditions stated on the label or product documentation.
The presence or absence of dry ice alone does not determine product usability. Manufacturer stability information and transport specifications must also be considered.
Products damaged because they were not received, handled or stored correctly after delivery may not qualify for a refund, replacement or return.
International shipping
Gentaur ships internationally where the product, destination, selected carrier and applicable regulations permit delivery.
Some countries restrict the import of biological, chemical, diagnostic, animal-derived or regulated products.
Gentaur may request institutional information, permits, declarations or other documents before dispatch. An order may be cancelled and refunded when it cannot legally or safely be shipped to the supplied destination.
Customs, taxes and import charges
The $80 USD standard shipping charge does not include import duties, local taxes, customs clearance, brokerage charges or other destination-country fees.
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation or agreed in writing, these charges are the recipient's responsibility.
Gentaur normally provides standard shipping documents, including a commercial invoice, packing list and airway bill. Customers must inform Gentaur before dispatch when additional documents are required.
Customs delays are outside Gentaur's direct control and are not part of the product lead time.
Delivery address
Customers are responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address, contact name, telephone number and email address.
Contact Gentaur immediately if an address change is required. A change cannot be guaranteed after preparation or dispatch has started.
Additional carrier charges caused by an incorrect address, failed delivery or requested rerouting may be charged to the customer.
Failed or refused delivery
The recipient must ensure that an authorized person is available to receive the shipment during the carrier's delivery period.
Shipping, storage, return or disposal charges caused by an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery, refusal or missing import documents may be charged to the customer.
Temperature-sensitive products may no longer be suitable for delivery following an unsuccessful delivery attempt.
Customer responsibilities
Accurate information and appropriate receiving arrangements help prevent delivery delays and product damage.
Damaged, leaking, missing or incorrect shipments
Inspect the shipment promptly after delivery and contact Gentaur as soon as a problem is identified.
Keep the shipping box, carrier labels, packaging, temperature-control materials and affected products while the case is reviewed.
Include the order or invoice number, catalog number, lot number, description of the issue and clear photographs of the shipment and packaging.
Do not return or discard a hazardous, leaking, damaged or temperature-sensitive product until Gentaur provides written instructions.
