  FTY720-C2 is a derivative of FTY72 (HY-12005) . FTY720-C2 promotes the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) in multiple system atrophy (MSA) models, without causing immunosuppression. FTY720-C2 improves motor dysfunction and reduces the levels of insoluble alpha-synuclein (αSyn) in MSA mouse models. FTY720-C2 is blood-brain barrier penetrate[1].
