Description
Antitrypanosomal agent 4 (compound 19) is a potent and blood-brain barrier permeable antitrypanosomal agent. Antitrypanosomal agent 4 has good activity against Trypanosoma cruzi (T. cruzi) and Trypanosoma brucei brucei (T. b. brucei) with IC50s of 1.2 μM and 70 nM, respectively[1]. Antitrypanosomal agent 4 is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
