IdeS Protein, Streptococcus pyogenes, Recombinant (His & GST Tag)
Background:
IdeS (IgG-degrading enzyme of Streptococcus pyogenes) is a secreted cysteine endopeptidase from the human pathogen S. pyogenes with an extraordinarily high degree of substrate specificity, catalyzing a single proteolytic cleavage at the lower hinge of human IgG. This proteolytic degradation promotes inhibition of opsonophagocytosis and interferes with the killing of group A Streptococcus.UniProt:

Please contact us for more information.Purity:
> 85 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.Activity:
One unit digests ≥ 95% of 1μg human IgG when incubated in PBS buffer, pH 7.4 at 37°C for 30min. The specific activity is 20,000 unit/mg.Form:
LiquidBuffer:
Supplied as sterile PBS, 50 % glycerol, pH 7.4. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hard copy of CoA.Molecular Weight:
The recombinant streptococcus pyogenes IdeS consists of 549 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 63.1 kDa.Storage Conditions:
Liquid. It is shipped out with blue ice. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Symbol:
