Description
SL-017 is a photosensitizing derivative of Hypocrellin-B used in photodynamic research. It induces mitochondrial dysfunction by collapsing membrane potential and generating reactive oxygen species, leading to mitochondrial rupture. This mechanism is studied in vitro for potential applications in treating hypertrichosis and other dermatological conditions.
