PPARα/γ agonist 4 acts through an insulin-independent mechanism and exhibits mitochondrial pyruvate carrier inhibition and anti-diabetic properties. PPARα/γ agonist 4 is expected to be used in research for dyslipidemic type 2 diabetes[1].
