Description
The mGluR8 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor mGluR8 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of mGluR8 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on mGluR8.

G-protein coupled receptor for glutamate. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase activity.
