PptT-IN-3 (compound 5p) is a potent inhibitor of with phosphopantetheinyl phosphoryl transferase (PptT) an IC50 of 3.5 μM. Phosphopantetheinyl transferase, an essential enzyme that plays a critical role in the biosynthesis of cellular lipids and virulence factors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
