Oleandomycin phosphate is a macrolide antibiotic closely related in structure to erythromycin. It exhibits antimicrobial activity similar to that of erythromycin. By interfering with the translation of activated amino acids into nascent peptide chains on the ribosome, oleandomycin inhibits protein synthesis.

Oleandomycin Phosphate

Oleandomycin Phosphate is the phosphate salt form of oleandomycin, a macrolide antibiotic similar to erythromycin with antimicrobial activity. Oleandomycin targets and reversibly binds to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes. This prevents translocation of peptidyl tRNA leading to an inhibition of protein synthesis.
