B7-1 Protein, Human, Recombinant (ECD, His & AVI Tag), Biotinylated
Background:
The B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 (referred to as B7), also known as CD80, is a member of cell surface immunoglobulin superfamily and is expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells including activated B cells, macrophages and dendritic cells. As costimulatory ligands, B7-1 which exists predominantly as dimer and the related protein B7-2, interact with the costimulatory receptors CD28 and cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4) expressed on T cells, and thus constitute one of the dominant pathways that regulate T cell activation and tolerance, cytokine production, and the generation of CTL. The B7/CD28/CTLA4 pathway has the ability to both positively and negatively regulate immune responses. CD80 is thus regarded as promising therapeutic targets for autoimmune diseases and various carcinomas.Synonyms:

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CTLA-4 hFc (Cat: PH50271M4) at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Human B7-1, Biotinylated (Cat: PH51059M2), the ECof Human B7-1, Biotinylated (Cat: PH51059M2) is 60-320 ng/mL.Form:
LyophilizedBuffer:
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hard copy of CoA.Molecular Weight:
The recombinant human CD80 consists of 234 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 27.12 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 48.86 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.Storage Conditions:
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Symbol:

NP_005182.1Overview:
A DNA sequence encoding the human CD80 (NP_005182.1) (Met1-Asn242) was expressed with a c-terminal polyhistidine tagged AVI tag at the C-terminus. The expressed protein was biotinylated in vivo by the Biotin-Protein ligase (BirA enzyme) which is co-expressed.AA Sequence:
