Description
(±) 11-HETE is a racemic monohydroxy fatty acid formed via non-enzymatic lipid peroxidation of arachidonic acid. Its enantiomers can be resolved by chiral HPLC, and the racemate is used as a biomarker, quantified by GC/MS, in oxidative stress research for both in vitro and in vivo studies.
