Description
(±) 9-HETE is a racemic monohydroxy fatty acid formed from the non-enzymatic peroxidation of arachidonic acid. Its enantiomers can be resolved via chiral HPLC, and the racemate is used as a biomarker of oxidative stress in lipid peroxidation studies, quantified by GC/MS in both in vitro and in vivo research models.
