Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand
Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand, Short name=Flt3 ligand, Short name=Flt3L, SL cytokine
A member of a small family of growth factors that stimulate the proliferation of hematopoietic cells
NCBI Gene ID #.
NCBI Gene Symbol
Activity (Specifications/test method)
The ED₅₀ as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human AML5 cells is 1 x 10⁶ units/mg.
Physical form description
Sterile filtered and lyophilized with no additives. The protein may appear as a haze of film, which is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial.
Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1 – 1.0 mg/ml. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use.
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
FAS ligand and other ligands are binding to the receptor for signaling pathways for example in apoptosis or JNK signaling. Receptor agonists are often tested for drug development.
