  This recombinant mouse IL-5 has been tested by sandwich ELISA using the anti-mouse IL-5 antibody pair (TRFK5/TRFK4), and in bioassays using the IL-5 responsive human cell line TF-1. The ED50 measured in a TF-1 proliferation assay is typically 100 pg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of approximately 1x10⁷ Units/mg.
