Physostigmine can crosses the blood-brain barrier and stimulates central cholinergic neurotransmission. Physostigmine can reverse memory deficits in transgenic mice with Alzheimer's disease. Physostigmine is also an antidote for anticholinergic poisoning[1][2][3][4].
