Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin-2 (CCL24)
Description:
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophils in vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils.CAS Number:

E. coliConcentration:
<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.Purity:
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGESolubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
Activity was determined by the ability to induce chemotaxis of mouse lymphocytes at concentrations ranging between 10-100 ng/mL.Molecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
Lyophilized PowderFormulation:
Recombinant mouse Eotaxin-2 was lyophilzed from 0.2 μm filtered concentrated (1.0 mg/mL) solution in 100 mM NaCl, 10 mM PB, pH 7.0.
