Description
ADPRP is an intranuclear enzyme whose main activity is to use NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) as a substrate to add ADP-ribose units to chromatin-bound proteins, including the ADPRP enzyme itself. This process, called poly (ADP-ribosylation), is a post-translational modification that regulates the interaction between DNA and nuclear proteins[1].
