Epo-R (Phospho-Tyr368) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

  • Description:

The Epo-R (Phospho-Tyr368) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor Epo-R (Phospho-Tyr368) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of Epo-R (Phospho-Tyr368) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Epo-R (Phospho-Tyr368) .
  • Synonyms:

    EPO-R; EPOR; Erythropoietin receptor precursor
  • Gene Name:

    EPOR
  • UniProt:

    P19235
  • Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Tissue Specificity:

Erythroid cells and erythroid progenitor cells. Isoform EPOR-F is the most abundant form in EPO-dependent erythroleukemia cells and in late-stage erythroid progenitors. Isoform EPOR-S and isoform EPOR-T are the predominant forms in bone marrow. Isoform EPOR-T is the most abundant from in early- stage erythroid progenitor cells.
  • Applications:

    ELISA
  • Sample Type:

    Cell lines
  • Detection Range:

    > 5000 cells/well
  • Function:

Receptor for erythropoietin. Mediates erythropoietin- induced erythroblast proliferation and differentiation. Upon EPO stimulation, EPOR dimerizes triggering the JAK2/STAT5 signaling cascade. In some cell types, can also activate STAT1 and STAT3. May also activate the LYN tyrosine kinase.
