Description
The FAKD3 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor FAKD3 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of FAKD3 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on FAKD3.

Function
Required for normal mitochondrial respiration (PubMed:20869947) . Increases steady-state levels and half-lives of a subset of mature mitochondrial mRNAs MT-ND2, MT-ND3, MT-CYTB, MT-CO2, and MT-ATP8/6. Promotes MT-CO1 mRNA translation and increases mitochondrial complex IV assembly and activity (PubMed:27789713) .
