KAPCB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

  • Description:

The KAPCB Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor KAPCB protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of KAPCB in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on KAPCB.
  • Synonyms:

CAMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit beta; PKA C-beta;2.7.11.11; PRKACB
  • Gene Name:

    PRKACB
  • UniProt:

    P22694
  • Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Tissue Specificity:

Isoform 1 is most abundant in the brain, with low level expression in kidney. Isoform 2 is predominantly expressed in thymus, spleen and kidney. Isoform 3 and isoform 4 are only expressed in the brain.
  • Applications:

    ELISA
  • Detection Range:

    > 5000 cells/well
  • Function:

Mediates cAMP-dependent signaling triggered by receptor binding to GPCRs. PKA activation regulates diverse cellular processes such as cell proliferation, the cell cycle, differentiation and regulation of microtubule dynamics, chromatin condensation and decondensation, nuclear envelope disassembly and reassembly, as well as regulation of intracellular transport mechanisms and ion flux. Regulates the abundance of compartmentalized pools of its regulatory subunits through phosphorylation of PJA2 which binds and ubiquitinates these subunits, leading to their subsequent proteolysis.
  • Molecular Weight:

    40623 MW
  • Shipping Conditions:

    Available
  • Storage Conditions:

Store at 4°C for up to 6 months.
  • Other Gene Names:

CAMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit beta
  • Subcellular Location:

Cytoplasm. Cell membrane. Membrane; Lipid-anchor. Nucleus. Translocates into the nucleus (monomeric catalytic subunit) . The inactive holoenzyme is found in the cytoplasm.
