Description
The HSP40 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor HSP40 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of HSP40 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on HSP40.
Synonyms
DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 1; Heat shock 40 kDa protein 1; Heat shock protein 40; DnaJ protein homolog 1; HDJ-1; DNAJB1; DNAJ1; HDJ1; HSPF1

Reactivity
Human, Mouse, Rat
Applications
ELISA

Cell lines
Detection Range
> 5000 cells/well
Function
Interacts with HSP70 and can stimulate its ATPase activity. Stimulates the association between HSC70 and HIP. Negatively regulates heat shock-induced HSF1 transcriptional activity during the attenuation and recovery phase period of the heat shock response (PubMed:9499401) . Stimulates ATP hydrolysis and the folding of unfolded proteins mediated by HSPA1A/B (in vitro) (PubMed:24318877) .

Other Gene Names
DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 1
Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Nucleus, nucleolus. Translocates rapidly from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, and especially to the nucleoli, upon heat shock.
