ERK3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

  • Description:

The ERK3 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor ERK3 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of ERK3 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on ERK3.
  • Synonyms:

    ERK-3; ERK3; Extracellular signal- regulated kinase 3; MAP kinase isoform p97; MAPK6; MK06; Mitogen-activated protein kinase 6; PRKM4; PRKM6; kinase ERK3; p55-MAPK; p97-MAPK
  • Gene Name:

    MAPK6
  • UniProt:

    Q16659
  • Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Tissue Specificity:

Highest expression in the skeletal muscle, followed by the brain. Also found in heart, placenta, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney and skin fibroblasts.
  • Applications:

    ELISA
  • Sample Type:

    Cell lines
  • Detection Range:

    > 5000 cells/well
  • Function:

Atypical MAPK protein. Phosphorylates microtubule- associated protein 2 (MAP2) and MAPKAPK5. The precise role of the complex formed with MAPKAPK5 is still unclear, but the complex follows a complex set of phosphorylation events: upon interaction with atypical MAPKAPK5, ERK3/MAPK6 is phosphorylated at Ser-189 and then mediates phosphorylation and activation of MAPKAPK5, which in turn phosphorylates ERK3/MAPK6. May promote entry in the cell cycle (By similarity) .
  • Molecular Weight:

  • Shipping Conditions:

    Available
  • Storage Conditions:

Store at 4°C for up to 6 months.
  • Other Gene Names:

    Mitogen-activated protein kinase 6
  • Subcellular Location:

Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Translocates to the cytoplasm following interaction with MAPKAPK5.
