Source : The E.Coli derived 32 kDa recombinant protein contains the Nucleocapsid core protein 1-49 amino acids immunodominant regions. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S) -glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.
Purification
SARS Core protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) .
Components
50mM Tris-HCl, 60mM NaCl and 50% glycerol.
Storage Conditions
SARS Core protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20C.
