SARS Matrix Protein

• Description :

  Source : The E.Coli derived 30kDa recombinant protein contains the Matrix protein 182-216 amino acids immunodominant regions. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S) -glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.

  SARS Matrix Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) .

• Components :

  50mM Tris-HCl, 60mM NaCl, and 50% glycerol.

• Storage Conditions :

  SARS Matrix protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20C.
