• Bioactivity :

  SN-398, a derivative of Camptothecin, is an antitumor compound. It functions by inhibiting mammalian DNA topoisomerase I (Topo I), stabilizing the Topo I-DNA complex to prevent DNA re-ligation, thereby inducing Topo I-mediated DNA breaks. In tests with Hela cells, SN-398 exhibits stronger antitumor activity than the original drug SN-38 (IC50=1.562 ?M) . SN-398 is applicable for research on the antiproliferative and growth-inhibitory effects of Topo I in cancer cells.
