  MG-3C is a potent inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) . It selectively targets and kills non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells harboring the EGFR T790M mutation. By blocking the EGFR/STAT3 signaling pathway, MG-3C induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase, inhibits growth, and triggers apoptosis. This compound shows potential for lung cancer research.
