  AChE-IN-90 (Compound 5b) is an orally active, brain-penetrant, and potent acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.023 ?M against human AChE. It shows lower selectivity for butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) with an IC50 of 1.8 ?M. AChE-IN-90 increases acetylcholine levels in synaptic clefts and holds potential for research in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
