Swine CCL8 (MCP-2) ELISA

• Background:

  CCL8, also known as MCP-2, is a member of the CC chemokine family. There are at least 27 distinct members of the C-C subgroup reported for mammals. CCL8 is chemotactic for and activates many different immune cells, including mast cells, eosinophils and basophils, (that are implicated in allergic responses), and monocytes, T cells, and NK cells that are involved in the inflammatory response.

  The Swine CCL8 ELISA contains capture antibody, recombinant protein standard, and detection antibody for development of a Swine CCL8 ELISA. The antibodies have been determined to function in an ELISA with the standard provided. Optimal buffers, concentrations, incubation times, incubation temperatures, and methods for the ELISA have not been determined. This allows for complete flexibility to provide optimal dynamic range and sensitivity based on your sample type.
