Description
GL-522 (4-Sulfocalixarene) is an inhibitor of Aβ42. It binds to Aβ42 through nonspecific multiple hydrophobic interactions, with a dissociation constant (Kd) of 276 μM. GL-522 effectively inhibits the fibrillization of Aβ42 and reduces the cytotoxicity of amyloid proteins, making it useful for Alzheimer's disease research.
