Description
16 (S) -HETE is a stereospecific cytochrome P450 metabolite of arachidonic acid, released in the kidney in response to angiotensin II. It potently inhibits proximal tubule Na+, K+-ATPase activity and is a key bioactive lipid for studying renal electrolyte transport, hypertension, and related metabolic pathways in vitro.
