Description
ITGAE (Integrin alpha E), also known as CD103, is a protein that in human is encoded by the ITGAE gene. ITGAE is expressed widely on intraepithelial lymphocyte (IEL) T cells (both alphabeta T cells and gammadelta T cells) and on some peripheral regulatory T cells (Tregs), which is important for decreasing the immune response and appears to play a crucial role in the prevention of autoimmune diseases. ITGAE shares overall homology with other alpha integrins but has a unique 55-amino acid extra region located just N-terminal to the I domain that contains 18 consecutive charged residues and a proteolytic cleavage site.
-
Immunogen
An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Integrin alpha E (KRKYQQLNLESIRKAQ) was used as the immunogen for this Integrin alpha E antibody.
-
Storage
After reconstitution, the Integrin alpha E antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
-
Additional description
The Anti-Integrin alpha E is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.
-
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
