Recombinant Human MIP-3 alpha (CCL20)
Description:
Macrophage inflammatory protein (MIP)-3/CCL20, also known as liver and activation-regulated chemokine (LARC) or Exodus, is a member of the CC chemokine subfamily initially noted to be expressed in human liver, lung, appendix, and tonsillar crypts. MIP-3 is selectively chemotactic for CD34(+) bone marrow cell-derived immature DCs and CD45RO(+) memory T cells that express the cognate receptor CCR6. MIP-3 produced at sites of inflammation may chemoattract CCR6-expressing immature DCs to the subepithelial region of mucosal surfaces.Gene Name:
CCL20Gene Aliases:
Beta-chemokine exodus-1, MIP3 alpha, CC chemokine LARC, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, MIP-3-alpha, Small-inducible cytokine A20, SCYA20

E. coliConcentration:
<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.Purity:
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGESolubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 2-40 ng/mL.Molecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
