Recombinant Human Cardiac Troponin T
- Description: Recombinant Human Cardiac Troponin T
- Alternative Name: TnT
- Gene Name: TNNT2
- UniProt: P45379
- Reactivity: Human
- Target Antigen: Troponin T, cardiac muscle
- Target: Cardiac Troponin T
- Type: Protein
- Applications: WB
- Concentration: Lot Specific
- Dilution: Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
- Form: Liquid
- Buffer: 20 mM Tris
- Function: Troponin T is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity.
- Storage Conditions: Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage, addition of 0.1% human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin is recommended. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
- Specificity: Cardiac Troponin T
- Formulation: Sterile-filtered colorless solution in 20mM Tris, pH 8.0, 10% glycerol.
- Buffer pH: pH 8.0
- Target Background: Troponin T (TnT) is the tropomyosin- binding subunit of the troponin complex which is situated on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentrations. Mutations in the TNNT2 gene are associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with dilated cardiomyopathy and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
