Human Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) Recombinant
Background:
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-2 and has been renamed CCL24. Both eotaxin-2/CCL24 and eotaxin-3/CCL26 are CC chemokines and functional ligands for CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), which is preferentially expressed on eosinophils. Only 34% of the amino acids in eotaxin-2/CCL24 and eotaxin-3/CCL26 are identical, but these two chemokines have a common characteristic feature in terms of chemotaxis for eosinophils via the CCR3.Description:
Recombinant Eotaxin-2 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 79 amino acid residues, and migrates as an approximately 9 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE. Optimized DNA sequence encoding human Eotaxin-2 mature chain was expressed inE. coli.UniProt:
O00175Endotoxin:
< 0.1 ng/µg (1 EU/µg), using the LAL gel clot method.Purity:
≥ 97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLCFormat:
Lyophilized proteinReconstitution:
Reconstitute at 0.1-1.0 mg/ml in distilled water. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers. To maximize product collection from vial surface, vortex briefly and then spin down to recollect the liquid.Shipping Conditions:
Gel Packs or Dry IceStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, store in working aliquots at +4°C for up to one month, or at -20°C for up to six months, in the presence of a carrier protein. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Calculated Molecular Weight:
9 kDaFormulation:
Lyophilized from 0.2 µm filtered concentrated (1.0 mg/ml) solution in 100 mM NaCl, 10 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.0.
