Description
The SSB (Phospho-Ser366) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor SSB (Phospho-Ser366) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of SSB (Phospho-Ser366) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on SSB (Phospho-Ser366) .

Function
Binds to the 3' poly (U) terminus of nascent RNA polymerase III transcripts, protecting them from exonuclease digestion and facilitating their folding and maturation (PubMed:3192525, PubMed:2470590) . In case of Coxsackievirus B3 infection, binds to the viral internal ribosome entry site (IRES) and stimulates the IRES-mediated translation (PubMed:12384597) .
