Description
The DGKA Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor DGKA protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of DGKA in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on DGKA.
Synonyms
Diacylglycerol kinase alpha; DAG kinase alpha;2.7.1.107;80 kDa diacylglycerol kinase; Diglyceride kinase alpha; DGK-alpha; DGKA; DAGK, DAGK1

Reactivity
Human
Tissue Specificity
Lymphocytes and oligodendroglial cells.
Applications
ELISA
Detection Range
> 5000 cells/well
Function
Upon cell stimulation converts the second messenger diacylglycerol into phosphatidate, initiating the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and attenuating protein kinase C activity.
