Integrin beta4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

  • Description:

The Integrin beta4 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor Integrin beta4 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of Integrin beta4 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Integrin beta4.
  • Synonyms:

    CD104 antigen; GP150; ITB4; integrin beta-4; integrin beta-4C
  • Gene Name:

    ITGB4
  • UniProt:

    P16144
  • Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Tissue Specificity:

Integrin alpha-6/beta-4 is predominantly expressed by epithelia. Isoform beta-4D is also expressed in colon and placenta. Isoform beta-4E is also expressed in epidermis, lung, duodenum, heart, spleen and stomach.
  • Applications:

    ELISA
  • Sample Type:

    Cell lines
  • Detection Range:

    > 5000 cells/well
  • Function:

Integrin alpha-6/beta-4 is a receptor for laminin. Plays a critical structural role in the hemidesmosome of epithelial cells. Is required for the regulation of keratinocyte polarity and motility. ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to NRG1 (via EGF domain) and this binding is essential for NRG1-ERBB signaling (PubMed:20682778) . ITGA6:ITGB4 binds to IGF1 and this binding is essential for IGF1 signaling (PubMed:22351760) .
