Description
The BAD Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor BAD protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of BAD in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on BAD.

Function
Promotes cell death. Successfully competes for the binding to Bcl-X (L), Bcl-2 and Bcl-W, thereby affecting the level of heterodimerization of these proteins with BAX. Can reverse the death repressor activity of Bcl-X (L), but not that of Bcl-2 (By similarity) . Appears to act as a link between growth factor receptor signaling and the apoptotic pathways.
