Assay Principle
Trypton provide carbon and nitrogen sources; the 3rd bile suppress gram-positive bacteria, especially against Gram-positive bacteria and fecal streptococci. Formulation (per liter) : Tryptone 20.0g The 3rd bile 1.5g Lactose 5.0g Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate 4g Potassium dihydrogen phosphate 1.5g Sodium chloride 5.0g MUG 0.05g Final pH 6.9 ± 0.2 How to use: 1.Suspend 37.05g in 1 L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling until completely dissolved, dispensing flask, 121 °C autoclave for 15min. 2.Diluted and treated samples.
Storage Conditions
Keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place, away from bright light. Storage period of 3 years.
Recommended Usage
For determination of Escherichia coli in drinking water.
