PF-9366

• Background:

  PF-9366 is an allosteric inhibitor (IC50 = 420 nM) of methionine adenosyltransferase 2A (Mat2A), the primary enzyme responsible for extrahepatic synthesis of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) .1 It inhibited cellular SAM production in H520 lung and Huh-7 liver cancer cells with IC50’s of 1.2 µM and 225 nM respectively.
