Description
MIP-4 is a CC chemokine that is expressed in lymph nodes, lungs, placenta and bone marrow. MIP-4’s primary receptor is unknown. MIP-4 chemoattracts lymphocytes, and has been shown to exert activity on both CD4+and CD8+ T cells. Recombinant human MIP-4 is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.

Storage Conditions
For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein (example 0.1 % HSA or 0.1% BSA) and store in working aliquots at -20°C to -80°C. Lyophilized MIP-4 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution MIP-4 can be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C.
