Description
SAL-0010042 is a potent inhibitor of Plasmodium PDEβ (IC50=48.9 nM), blocking cAMP/cGMP hydrolysis to activate PKG and inhibit parasite growth (IC50s: 142 nM 3D7, 218 nM Dd2) . It also inhibits human PDE5 and PDE6. This compound is a valuable tool for studying cyclic nucleotide signaling in malaria parasite biology and transmission.
