Compound 12 is a selective T-type calcium channel inhibitor, potently blocking Cav3.1 (IC50 = 160 nM) with much weaker activity on Cav3.2 and no effect on Cav3.3 or L-type Cav1.2. This profile makes it a useful research tool for studying the roles of Cav3.1 in neurological and cardiovascular functions in vitro and in vivo.
