Description
PBE-AMF is a prodrug that activates hydrogen peroxide, selectively inhibiting the proliferation of aggressive MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells (IC50=6.4 μM) while sparing non-cancerous MCF-10A cells. Its anticancer mechanism involves disrupting DNA synthesis, depleting ATP, inducing apoptosis, and causing cell cycle arrest, making it a candidate for in vitro oncology research.
