HI5 is a dual-action small molecule with potent antitumor activity, functioning as both a tubulin polymerization inhibitor and an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) suppressor. It induces cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and oxidative stress in vitro (IC50 = 70 nM in HeLa cells) and is a candidate for research in cancer immunology and metastasis.
