Description
PHM-27 (human) acetate is the bioactive peptide derived from prepro-VIP and acts as a calcitonin receptor agonist (EC50 = 11 nM) . Research applications include studying its role in glucose homeostasis, as in vivo studies in transgenic mice demonstrate it enhances glucose-stimulated insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells.
