Human TNFRSF18/GITR ELISA Kit PicoKine®, Carrier-free
- Background: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18), also called GITR or AITR is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNFRSF18 gene. This gene is mapped to 1p36.33. This gene encodes a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. The encoded receptor has been shown to have increased expression upon T-cell activation, and it is thought to play a key role in dominant immunological self-tolerance maintained by CD25 (+)CD4 (+) regulatory T cells. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the role of this receptor is in the regulation of CD3-driven T-cell activation and programmed cell death. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
- Description: Human TNFRSF18/GITR ELISA Kit PicoKine® (96 Tests). Quantitate Human TNFRSF18 in cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Sensitivity: 10pg/ml. The brand Picokine indicates this is a premium quality ELISA kit. Each Picokine kit delivers precise quantification, high sensitivity, and excellent reproducibility. Only our most reliable and effective kits qualify as Picokine, guaranteeing top-tier results for your assays.

- Gene Name: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18
- Gene ID: 8784
- UniProt: Q9Y5U5
- Reactivity: Human
- Cross Reactivity: There is no detectable cross-reactivity with other relevant proteins.
- Immunogen: Expression system for standard: NS0; Immunogen sequence: Q26-E161
- Tissue Specificity: Expressed in lymph node, peripheral blood leukocytes and weakly in spleen.
- Applications: ELISA
- Standard: 10 ng/tube
- Sample Type: cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA).
- Detection Range: 62.5 pg/ml - 4,000 pg/ml
- Sensitivity: <10 pg/ml
- Function: Receptor for TNFSF18. Seems to be involved in interactions between activated T-lymphocytes and endothelial cells and in the regulation of T-cell receptor-mediated cell death. Mediated NF-kappa-B activation via the TRAF2/NIK pathway.
