Description
PEN-221 is a cytotoxic drug conjugate that selectively targets the somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2) with an IC50 of 10 nM. It consists of the microtubule-disrupting agent DM1 conjugated to Tyr3-octreotate, enabling targeted delivery to SSTR2-expressing cells. This construct is used in preclinical research for investigating targeted cancer therapies, including in vitro cytotoxicity assays and in vivo xenograft models for neuroendocrine and other SSTR2-positive tumors.
