IL-2

  • Description:

IL-2 is a powerful immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL-2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions which are essential for the immune response. IL-2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Recombinant human IL-2 (modified at the C-terminal end) is a 15.5 kDa protein, containing 156 amino acid residues including one intrachain disulfide bond.

    < 0.1 ng per µg of IL-2
  • Purity:

    > 98% by SDS-PAGE
  • Bioactivity:

The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of proliferation of murine D10G4.1 cells is in the range of 0.1-0.5 ng/ml.
  • Length:

    156
  • Form:

    Lyophilized
  • Buffer:

    50mM acetic acid
  • Reconstitution:

    50mM acetic acid
